April, 2011, Governor’s Message
Spring has sprung and summer is coming. Summer is coming and so are club and district changes. Some clubs will have new officers and the Central District will have a new District Governor. Every year in summer, the change of officers allows new individuals to step into leadership roles throughout our Sertoma organization. I hope, for those clubs that can, new individuals will volunteer for leadership positions. Club leadership by new individuals unfortunately is not available to every club due to membership numbers. In those instances, I thank those officers who serve as needed to provide guidance and leadership to their representative clubs.
This next quarter will be a busy period of time. We start the quarter with one of the largest joint fund raisers with both districts participating. The Wine Pairing kicks off our next quarter of activities. We will also be having a dual district leadership conference and awards luncheon in the spring. This event will cover our DLC and training in the morning with a luncheon in the afternoon. Another major event for our dual districts will be the Soap Box Derby in June.
In summary, we are moving forward as Sertoma members. I also want to thank all of you who have so generously volunteered your time, money, and efforts for our commitment to Service to Mankind. We, as fellow Sertoma’s, can take pride in the fact that we care enough to get involved, and that involvement makes the communities in which we live better places to live. I know some will say that just belonging does not make that a fact. That is true to some extent. But it has been my experience that Sertoma’s have served, are serving, or will be serving on activities that made or will make our communities better in some way. So to all of you---thanks for another quarter of accomplishments!

Awards Info Update
On another note regarding information from our recent Regional Conference it was decided/ voted that additional awards would not be done to keep up with Inter-National's change of dates. These current awards will be the last until we get back on a regular basis for the following year. Hello Front Range and Central Colorado District Sertomans,
Welcome to all new Sertoma Leaders. It's a new Sertoma year and our Front Range District has a new governor, Denny Fennell, jfennsafe@comcast.net. Congratulations to all and best wishes for a successful Sertoma year. Please note that your club's activity reports and dues should be sent by the 10th day of the first month of each quarter (see details below).
Don't forget our "President's Roundtable" meetings at Perkins on the second Monday of most months (always check with UPCOMING EVENTS to verify). All club Presidents and Cabinet Members are encouraged to attend but as always: Please try to have at least one representative from every club.

Forms Schedule & GUIDELINES
It is each club's secretary responsibility to complete the reports, but it is important that the president and secretary work together in ensuring that all of the pertinent data has been secured and is provided as requested. Although the secretary completes the forms, the president is responsible for making sure that they are filed in a timely fashion.
Report forms are available in the Resource Section of the training DVD, in the Awards and Reports Section of the Club Manual CD, online at www.sertoma.org or from Sertoma Headquarters.
